About:
Lucas recently graduated a Part II Architecture programme with distinction and a nomination to the AJ Student Prize 2024.
He is currently open to Part II Architectural Assistant roles in London.
I am determined to afford my best effort towards any task undertaken, from academic work, through to work with a client focused outcome. I love to take on new challenges and look forward to developing a greater understanding of the latter RIBA stages of projects in professional practice, as I aim to undertake Part 3 in the coming years.
Previously, I have completed 12 months experience at a multidisciplinary practice working on projects across the South West of England. Applying academic theory and practice to real world projects and problem solving, working confidently independently on tasks, amongst liaising on projects with a wide design team of internal disciplines and external consultants. My primary experience employed tools including Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, working across a variety of sectors including small scale residential developments to major housing developments; commercial projects including office buildings; and feasibility master planning for a large private site to be developed into a film, tv and music production hub. I have also contributed to design guides in the south west region.
Outside of education and work, I enjoy photography to frame life experiences, and sailing which offers a unique perspective to explore new places arriving by coast. Organising events is particularly rewarding to me, previously as President of Plymouth Architecture Society and Head Boy at school. The pandemic also offered an opportunity to host virtual events developing a greater resilience in ways of working with rapidly changing situations.
